Revgene uses the collected personal information (including modified information) for the following purposes:

Member management: Personal identification, prevention of abuse from bad users and prevention of unauthorized use, identification such as preventing personal information theft of other users through real name identification, complaint handling, delivery of notifications
Statistical utilization: Statistics on the connection frequency or service use of members, services provided according to statistical characteristics

Storage and utilization period of personal information

The personal information of the user is basically destroyed without hesitation after the purposes of personal information collection and utilization are achieved. However, the following information is preserved for the specified period due to the reasons below: If information must be preserved according to regulations relevant to e-commerce such as laws regarding consumer protection and commercial laws for reason of information storage, Revgene stores member information for a certain period of time regulated by the relevant laws. In this case, Revgene only uses the stored information for the purpose of storing information, and the preservation period is shown below.

Procedure and method for destroying personal information

Revgene basically destroys the relevant information without hesitation after the purposes of personal information collection and utilization are achieved. The procedure and method are as follows:

Procedure for destroying personal information	Information provided by the user is transferred to a separate DB after the purpose is fulfilled (separate document case for paper) and is destroyed after being saved for a certain period of time according to the reason for personal information storage following internal policies as well as the relevant laws (refer to the storage and utilization period). Besides cases due to the relevant laws, the same personal information is not used for purposes other than the purpose of storage.
